Buyer context

A hospitality arrival space needed a mature Ficus with immediate visual presence. The tree had to feel established without overwhelming the architecture.

The sourcing challenge

Height alone could not define the requirement. Crown proportion, trunk expression, root character, access dimensions and the viewing angle from the arrival route all affected the decision.

How we approached it

We translated the reference imagery into measurable criteria, searched across suitable local sources and documented candidates from consistent angles with scale references. Options were compared for silhouette, health, handling risk and fit with the intended space.

Buyer lesson

For feature trees, send the site plan, access limits and key viewing angle together with the desired dimensions. This prevents visually attractive but impractical options from entering the shortlist.
